Post 10: Your Blogging Experience

Hello people!!!

I think the idea of the blog is innovative. I had never had such an experience in an English course. I think it's a friendly way to make people learn English. Although it is necessary that the teacher is reviewing what we have written in each class that we do blogs, to find out how our progress is going.
It has helped me to learn more vocabulary, some words that are not searched in the dictionary. I must admit that it is difficult for me to unite the sentences.
Anyway, I think now it costs me less to write a small text compared to the beginning of the semester.
I would like to write about several things.
Ideas to write on the blog are: pets, best friend, the most important university experience, family, the trip of your dreams, and others. Or an idea could also be talking about the things that make you happiest.
The great thing about having the rest of the course in the contacts of the blog is that we can know each other more.
When I finish before writing the blog of a class I read some of the publications of my classmates.

Do you like to have a blog?

Regards 💕

Post 9: A day to remember

Hello everyone! 👋

Last year I had a university practice in a foundation called "Domingo savio", although the people of the foundation called it "club". It is located in the commune "La Granja" and attended every Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The truth is that I became very fond of the children of the foundation, so I told myself that when I finished the practice I would continue visiting them.
In the vacation I missed them because I used to see them once a week. Even last year we were strike, and I took advantage of that month to go to the "Club Domingo Savio".
The children returned to the club in April. I wrote to the director asking if I could go that day, of course she told me yes. As I had classes at the university that day, I arrived after the children. I went in and greeted the people who work with the children, whom I appreciate a lot. The children were in the backyard, so I went there.
When I looked out the children were sitting listening to the instructions of a game, in that instant they saw me and ran to hug me. That moment was very special for me.
After that we played, participated in the activities and ate. Finally the manager gave the children the rest of the time to play. When we were playing, some of the children came to talk with me about personal things and that was something I will never forget, they trusted me and gave me their love.
That is why until today I am still going to the club and communicating with the children.

.... And what day do you remember?

Kisses ❤

Post 8: A Subject you enjoy studying this semester

Hello people 👀

My favorite subject of this semester is "Análisis social del territorio".
I am surprised that currently for social work the territory is not a relevant factor. The territory is generally understood as the community and not as a physical and symbolic place because  the dictatorship caused that the territorial scope was displaced and the individual level and assistance was approached.
In each class they give us very interesting contents, but the best thing is that we put it into practice. The teacher is called Maria Antonieta Urquieta and, she has on several occasions brought guests who show us a subject related to the field, such as a class led people working at the MINVU to talk about housing policy in Chile.
The main contents we have seen are the difference between territory and community, territory as a social aspect, forms of territorial appropriation, the ways of observing a territory, territory and segregation, housing policy, territory and intervention and cartography.
I like this subject because it gives us another perspective of addressing the social, which is very important for us as social workers in training.

Post 7: An Expert on your field

Hello everyone 👀

Being honest I can say that I admire those people who are dedicated and committed to their work, and not only in the production of writings but also in the work directly with people. Within the faculty of social sciences, specifically in the department of social work one of these people that I consider an excellent professional is my teacher María Antonieta Urquieta. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chile, former head of Social Work career, a doctor in Social Work and comparative social welfare policies from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, master in Social Work and Social Policies of the Universidad de Concepción, degree in Social Work and Social Assistant from the University of Valparaíso. I really do not know much about her personal life.
Among her works, I emphasize "Territorio como medium: Discusión sobre rendimientos analíticos para las observaciones de la complejidad socioespacial" written last year just like "Territorios de exclusión: observando  dinámicas de inclusión/exclusión en sistemas territoriales complejos del Gran Santiago" also written "Trabajo social sin territorio: La trampa de lo comunitario" nevertheless I don´t know the date.
I like her because she is a great social worker and her work is a great advance in terms of territory and it is very important to see that aspect as social workers in training.
I like her publications because they explain how the territory affects the composition of life in society and how actors act.
Personally, I read her work, to write my own article, which is about how a complex territory generates favorable conditions for crime. I think that she is the one to be present in the theoretical framework because the article explains the thesis based on inequality and the segregation and exclusion of people being part of a territory.
