Hello 👀✌
My favorite festivity is new year. It is celebrated on the night of December 31 and a countdown is made 10 seconds before 12 o'clock at night.
It's the oldest celebration of all festivities. It was celebrated for the first time in Ancient Babylon, about 4000 years ago. The Babylonian New Year began with the first crescent moon (the first new moon) after the first day of spring (vernal equinox).
Considered as the Renaissance season, it is very successful to be celebrated at that time, as it's associated with the sowing of new crops and the flowering of other plants. On the contrary, on January 1 it lacks astronomical or agricultural significance.
The celebration of the Babylonian New Year lasted eleven days. Each day had its own style for recognition, which is very different from how it is celebrated in the current day.
The first of January began to celebrate when Julio Cesar, reformed the calendar in 46 BC extending it to 445 days and starting the year 45 BC. on the first of January.
At present time in new year there are superstitions related to objects that I enjoy a lot, some are to go around with a suitcase, keep money in the shoe during the whole night, wear yellow underwear for good luck. Also some people read their horoscope.
I have a great time.🎉
Kisses ♡♡♡
